Any techie with a bigger TV than their monitor is looking for a simple, easy to set up streaming device so they can watch videos on a bigger screen without the hassle of wires traipsing around all over. Cisco, a brand that most will find to be very trustworthy, and that’s an understatement, has designed just such a device to help us vidiots, it’s called the FlipShare TV. The system is designed to easily stream your media from your PC to any HDTV and even comes with a remote control. It’s exactly what you’d look for in a wireless device. Firstly it has no wires. It consists of three parts including the remote there’s also a USB dongle that fits into the PC for sending signals and then there’s the main device that’s a bit like a TV’s set top box for cable with an HDMI port as well as standard RCA ports for AV.

The dongle is designed to offer users 200 feet of wireless connectivity. How well it’ll work with walls in the way is something we don’t yet know. The system doesn’t just end with video streaming in one’s home, but there are also a list of mobile apps for a variety of devices that include the iPhone obviously, as well as Android devices and BlackBerry’s that will allow users to access videos uploaded to your Flip Channel. The FlipShare TV system is priced at $150 and that seems like it’s quite worth it.
