Firefox for Android v14.0 brings Faster start-up, new UI, Flash support and more new features


Mozilla has updated the Firefox for Android app to version 14.0 that has streamlined look with a personalized start page, new Awesome Screen powered by Firefox Sync delivers all your browsing history, bookmarks, passwords, Adobe Flash support that lets you watch videos, play games and lots more features. The beta version was launched last month.

Lenovo ThinkPad Tablet gets Android 4.0 OTA update in India


Lenovo ThinkPad tablet has received the Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) update in India. It is also available in United States, UK, Europe and other countries worldwide. Lenovo launched the ThinkPad Tablet in India last October and announced the ICS update for the tablet earlier this February. This update would offer improved browser with save it for later option and Voice input that would let you dictate text. There is no Face Unlock feature as they announced.


his update is available Over the Air (OTA). If you did not get notification, you can check for the updates manually in Settings -> About -> System Updates.

HTC EVO 3D Android 4.0 update starts rolling out in India



HTC has announced on the their Facebook page that they have stared rolling out Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) update for EVO 3D in India. The HTC EVO 3D was launched in India last August at at hefty price tag of Rs.35,990 (MRP) and later got a price cut that brought the price down to Rs. 25,000. HTC announced the global Android 4.0 update schedule last month and started rolling out Android 4.0 update for Sensation XL India earlier this week.
This update would bring new features including HTC Sense 3.6, customizable launcher in the home-screen, new lock screen functions, music controls in the notification bar, new multi-tasking / recent apps screen and more new features.
Android 4.0 update for other HTC devices would follow soon.

Samsung Galaxy Beam up for pre-order in India for Rs. 29900



Samsung Galaxy Beam is now on pre-order from the Samsung’s Official eStore. Samsung announced the Galaxy Beam, successor of their previous Beam at MWC 2012 in February. It was expected to be available in South West Asia including India in May, but it got delayed. It has a 4.0-inch 480×800 (WVGA)TFT display and is powered by 1 GHz Dual-Core Processor. It has 15 lumens pico projector that allows users to share photos, videos or other digital media instantly and in crisp clarity up to 50-inch wide. It runs on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) and has 5MP Auto focus camera with flash, 1.3MP secondary camera.
Other features include, 786MB RAM, 8GB Internal Memory, MicroSD slot (up to 32GB), Bluetooth 3.0+HS, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n 2.4GHz, MicroUSB, USB 2.0 and aGPS. It has 2000 mAh battery.
The Samsung Galaxy Beam is now on pre-order from Samsung eStore for Rs. 29,900. There are no details about the availability, but we can expect it in early July.
