BlackBerry Z10 – first BB10 phone announced with 4.2inch display



It is finally here – The BlackBerry Z10 in both Black and White, the first BlackBerry 10 phone from Research in Motion which is dropping the RIM branding. The phone packs a nice 4.2 inch display with 356 pixels per inch. In terms of internals , it is powered by a 1.5GHz dual-core processor and packs 2GB of RAM. It is powered by the BlackBerry 10 OS.
It packs a 1800 mAh battery under the back cover on the back along with SIM card and microSD card slot. The is a 8 Megapixel camera on the back and a 2 MP camera on the front.The screen is a IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1280×768 pixels.The Z10 packs a sophisticated touchscreen for handling touch input.

BlackBerry Q10 with QWERTY keyboard, 3.1″ 356 ppi screen announced


BlackBerry has announced its new qwerty equipped smartphone, the BlackBerry Q10 which is part of its two pronged approach to market its next generation smartphone OS. Running BlackBerry 10, the phone has a proper physical QWERTY keypad. The back has what the company is calling a glass weave finish.

Nokia rolling out Windows Phone 7.8 update

Nokia has announced that the much awaited Windows Phone 7.8 update started to rollout to older Lumia handsets running Windows Phone 7.5.

The Windows Phone 7.8 is now available for unlocked Nokia Lumia 510, 610, 710, 800 and 900 and brings resizable Live Tiles, daily Bing wallpapers, child lock screen security, internet sharing, imaging enhancements and new apps like Contact Share, Play To and Nokia City Lens.


To update your phone just connect it to your computer via Zune for PC, or the Windows Phone app for Mac and follow the onscreen instructions.

No word yet when other OEM's like HTC and Samsung will start the rollout.
