No, Nokia N8 Symbian Belle doesn't need a 1GHz processor!

Symbian Belle - or Nokia Belle, to give it it's new name - is set to roll out in February across all Nokia Symbian^3 devices, so whether you're rocking a Nokia N8Nokia E7Nokia X7Nokia C6-01Nokia C7Nokia Oro, or even the Nokia 500 you’ll soon be able to enjoy this great OS on your Nokia handset.
NokNok reader Supergaurav7 recently posted that he'd been informed that Nokia Belle wouldn't run on the Nokia N8, as the update only works with devices using a 1GHz processor. This got us a little confused as this was news to us, so we got in touch with Nokia UK and they confirmed that all current Nokia Symbian^3 smartphones will receive the Nokia Belle update and will be more than capable of handling it with ease.

If you want a little more proof, then check out what Mark Squires, Director of Social Media for Nokia, had to tell us: 'Nokia Belle is the latest Symbian software release with all-new user interface, improved user experience and dozens of improved and new features. We have already shipped Nokia 603, 700 and 701 with Belle earlier this year, and have received great feedback on the new user experience.'
'To make Nokia Belle available to consumers globally, we will start rolling out Nokia Belle for the already existing Nokia N8, E7, X7, C6-01, C7, Oro, E6, and Nokia 500 smartphones in early 2012. With that, millions of consumers around the world will get a totally fresh experience to their Symbian smartphone.'
