Facebook for Android has been updated to version 1.9.7 that lets you use the front-facing camera on your phone to capture images. This version also removes support for Android 2.1 (Eclair) and works only on Android 2.2 (Froyo) devices and up. Some of the other new messaging features similar to the latest Facebook Messenger for Android has been implemented.

Sony Xperia go durable smartphone that was announced in May is now available for pre-order in India from online retailer Flipkart. It has 3.5-inch Reality Display powered by Mobile BRAVIA Engine and is powered by 1Ghz dual-core processor and runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread (upgradeable to Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich)). It is just 9.8 mm thick and weighs 110 grams.

It has 5MP Auto focus camera with flash and 720p video recording, 3.5 mm audio jack, FM radio with RDS. It has 512 MB RAM, 8 GB internal memory (up to 4 GB user-accessible memory) and up to 32 GBexpandable memory.
