How To Troubleshoot Personal HotSpot in iPhone

Because I was also facing the problem in personal hotspot frequently therefore I decided to write few lines on how to troubleshoot personal hotspot in iPhone. First of all we need to confirm from our data carrier that the service provides internet tethering or not because if internet tethering is not supported by the carrier you will not be able to use thepersonal hotspot for using your iPhone as a wired or WiFi modem or bluetooth. In that case if you go to settings you will not see the option ofPersonal HotSpot.

The most common problem which we face regarding the personal hotspot is that it stops working and gives the error of limited connectivity and sometimes it is showing normal status but you are not able to browse the internet, I am not going to tell why it happens but the only easy solution to troubleshoot personal hotspot is just reboot your iPhone and it just takes 1-2 minutes and you can just connect using your hotspot. If you are using WiFi connection for hotspot then if you don’t want to reboot your iPhone5 try to turn off the WiFi and personal hotspot and restart both options.

If still you are facing problem in connecting personal hotspot you have to reset all network settings by going to Settings => General => Reset => Reset Network Settings. Remember your WiFi password will be removed so if you are using WiFi you must recall the WEP password.
If you are connecting to personal hotspot using USB, you must install iTunes on your computer to avoid any error in hotspot connection. After you install iTunes the default drivers are installed that make it easy for your device to connect to your computer.
You also have the option of connecting to personal hotspot using the bluetooth on your devices and if other options are not working you can try the bluetooth tethering otion as well.
