The Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich update for Samsung Galaxy S2 comes along with performance improvements and fixes the system’s bugs. The first country to receive the OTA update is Russia, but the new Samsung Galaxy S2 firmware update will be soon available world wide.
Samsung Galaxy S2 was introduced by the South Korean phone maker in February 2011 at Mobile World Congress event in Barcelona and it was made available for purchase two months later in some 120 countries.
The device sports a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED Plus display with a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels, it has an Exynos chipset based on two ARM Cortex-A9 cores clocked at 1.2 GHz, 1 GB of RAM, 16 or 32 GB of internal memory and microSD card slot.
Samsung Galaxy S2 comes pre-loaded with Android 2.3 Gingerbread and it features an 8 megapixel camera with autofocus, LED flash and support for full HD video recording, while the front-facing 2 megapixel camera is ideal for video calls.
