CameraTweak Brings Tons Of Extra Features For The Stock Camera App

The stock Camera iOS app doesn’t offer a lot of functionality when it comes to extra features. For the purpose, you have to install third-party apps for each feature. However, it’s inconvenient to use multiple tweaks for each feature. A new Cydia tweak has been released that combines all the features you need in a single tweak. It goes by the nameCameraTweak. Read on for more details.

The new options are added to the stock Camera app. However, that won’t make it slow or unorganized. There would be no extra menus added to the Settings app. All the options can be accessed directly from the stock Camera app itself. The independent focus and exposure reticles will be visible by default along the White Balance button. You can tap and hold your finger over the focus and exposure reticles to move them and place them anywhere in the viewfinder.

The extra features can be seen by tapping the circular icon which will be visible next to the camera button in the bottom bar. There are 4 new features for photos, ‘Default Camera’, ‘CountDown Timer’, ‘Grid Overlays’ and ‘Time-Lapse’. The first option lets you revert back to the default settings. The second option lets you set a time delay before the photo is captured. The third option offers four gird layouts, while the last option if for a time-lapse photography session and an interval between shots.
Coming over to the camcorder, the three extra features include ‘Resolution’, ‘Frame Rate’ and ‘Aspect Ratio’. The first option offers options of multiple resolutions, including low and medium resolutions. The second option allows you to change the frame rate of the recorded video. It lets you go up to 60 fps. The third option gives three choices of the aspect ratio; 4:3, 16:9 and 2:35:1.
You can download CameraTweak from Cydia’s BigBoss repository for $0.99. It works both on iOS 5 and iOS 6. Let us know if you try it out.
