Adjust Screen Brightness Using Volume Buttons – Cydia Tweak

Although it needs rarely but in some cases we may need to use this functionality frequently especially if we need to save some battery by reducing the brightness of our iPhone, iPod or iPad. In a typical way we need to go to settings and brightness settings where we can reduce or increase the brightness or we can set the brightness in auto mode i.e. it will be adjusted automatically as per the outer situation of darkness or brightness.
There is one more useful Cydia Jailbreak tweak that if we use we don’t need to go into the settings for adjusting the brightness of our iOS device. The tweak is called BrightVol which is provided in the BigBoss repository and if you are having a jailbroken iPhone, iPod or ipad you can open Cydia and search for BrightVol and install. The app works as per already selected Activator settings i.e. by pressing both vol up and down button you are given the choice to increase or decrease the brightness of the screen. After adjusting the brightness if you press both buttons again the device goes to its default settings i.e. for controlling volume even if you don’t reset it after 30 seconds it automatically goes in default mode.

The good thing which I noticed is that you can adjust your brightness even on the lock screen which is very useful if you don’t want to unlock the screen for only adjusting the brightness. It also saves time by just activating the BrightVol app by pressing both volume buttons simultaneously.
You can activate the BrightVol using any combination in the activator. If you are new to the jailbreaking and don’t know much about the functionality of Activator and stock settings. Stock settings are that which are coming by default and using the Activator you can customize the behavior of your device against different actions. Activator is the very first jailbreak app which can be installed through Cydia if not installed by default through jailbreak.
