Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich Update Rolls Out For The Samsung Galaxy Tab Line-up

Even though Google officiallyannounced Android 4.1 Jelly last week at Google I/O event, many of the tablets are still running on early versions of the popular mobile operating system. The older models of the Samsung Galaxy Tab line-up was not so fortunate to receive the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update so far, but it seems that will be changed, soon.
Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich Update For Samsung Galaxy Tab

The Samsung Galaxy Tab models are almost as potent as the devices launched in 2012, therefore, the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update could have rolled out for a while now. Anyway, the firmware update was delayed, in my opinion to help Samsung sell more Galaxy Tab 2 units, whose selling point is Android 4.0. Anyway, let’s get over the frustrations and see which models have received the Ice Cream Sandwich update.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 is the first tablet that received the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update, and you can download the official firmware here. You can also access the Android 4.0 ICS update for Galaxy Tab 7.7 GT-P6800 using Samsung Kies. Last month, the South Korea-based company announced that the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich for the tablets launched last year will start rolling out in July and August.
Galaxy Tab 7.7 received Android 4.0.4 with build date June 21st, and the models waiting in line to receive the firmware update are Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus WiFi-only and 3G, Galaxy Tab 8.9 WiFi-only and 3G and Galaxy Tab 10.1 WiFi-only and 3G.
If you own a one of the aforementioned Samsung Galaxy tablets, please let us know if the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich firmware update have rolled out for your terminal. The comments section bellow is all yours.
