Samsung has finally announced their next flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S4 at an event in New York. It packs a 5-inch Full HD (1920×1080 pixels) Super AMOLED display at 441ppi, powered by a 1.9 GHz Quad-Core Processor / 1.6 GHz Octa-Core Processor (depending on the markets) and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). It has a 13MP rear camera with LED Flash, Full HD video recording and a 2MP front-facing camera. It has unique features including Smart Pause , Smart Scroll, S Translator, S Travel (Trip Advisor), S Voice Drive, S Health and lots more. It also has dual camera (Dual Shot / Dual Recording/ Dual Video Call).
There were several rumors about the Samsung Galaxy S4 launch date. First it was March 15th, later it was rumored that the phone would be unveiled on March 14th. According to a recent report fromReuters based on a report from Korean Edaily new site, the event is indeed happening on March 14th in New York as confirmed by the JK Shin, chief of mobile division, Samsung.
Samsung S4 image surfaced recently, and according to the recent rumor it would feature a 4.99-inch Full-HD SoLux Display and feature a 1.9 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor. Other rumored specifications include, Android Jelly Bean OS, 7.7 mm thick, weigh 138 grams. It would come with 2GB of RAM, up to 64GB internal memory, 13MP Camera, 2MP front-facing camera and wireless charging.

Nokia has announced the Nokia 301 at the MWC 2013. It has a 3.2MP rear camera with unique panorama, sequential shot, which takes 3-5 frames and lets you choose the perfect picture and self-portrait feature that uses voice prompts to tell you how to position the phone so your face is properly in the frame. It would also come in a dual SIM variant that has Nokia Easy Swap Dual SIM support.
Move over AMD and Nvidia’s own GeForce GTX 680, the king of gaming GPUs is here. Just a while ago, Nvidia revealed their new GeForce GTX TITAN graphics unit, which is supposedly the most powerful GPU on the planet right now. Nvidia says that is made of the same Kepler architecture that the company’s been using for its range of graphics units recently. It is also purportedly delivering the same amount of power as the GPUs in the Titan supercomputer, powered by the Nvidia GK110 GPUs. The GTX TITAN has 2,668 GPU cores, which are about 75% more than the ones on the GTX 680, but a little less when compared to the GTX 690, which has a grand total of 3,072 GPU cores running at 915 MHz by default while the TITAN runs at a lesser 837 MHz. But on the memory side, with 6GB of DDR5 memory and a bandwidth of 384-bit, the TITAN is better than the 690. So, with a better memory bandwidth, multi screen gaming would be a total win with the TITAN, but Nvidia themselves say that single screen gaming may favour the 690 a bit. SwiftKey Flow Beta was first introduced back in December, and it got a major update last month. SwiftKey has announced that the app has been test by over 200,000 SwiftKey fans, with more than 2.4 billion characters flowed. In addition to SwiftKey Flow with mixed tap input, the new version also brings better personalization, easier corrections, support for 60 languages and more.
Karbonn A12, a new Android Smartphone is now available from online retailers Saholic and Flipkart in India. It has a 4.5-inch (540 ×960 pixels) qHD capacitive touch sceen display and runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich), similar to the Karbonn A21 that was launched last year. The A12 is powered by a 1 GHz processor. It has a 5MP auto focus camera with LED flash and a 0.3MP (VGA) front-facing camera. It also comes with dual SIM support with dual standby.
Pantel Technologies has launched T-Pad WS707C, their new tablet with built-in SIM card slot for voice calling and 2G connectivity. It has a 7-inch (1024 x 600 pixels) capacitive touch screen display with and is powered by a 1.2 GHz Cortex A9 processor. It runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) and comes with WiFi and 3G support via USB Dongle for data connectivity. It has a 2MP rear camera and a 0.3MP (VGA) front-facing camera. The company launched Penta T-Pad WS802C-2G, a 8-inch Android tablet with Voice calling last year.
Samsung has started rolling out Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean) update for the International Samsung Galaxy Note (GT-N7000) starting from Hong Kong, Taiwan and Germany. Samsung confirmed back in December that the Galaxy Note would get the multi-screen / multi-window feature in the Android 4.1 update. The Samsung Galaxy S2 got the Jelly Bean update last month.
