Sony Ericsson Xperia Play, Another Weird Commercial

I’m not too sure what Sony Ericsson is playing at when it comes to touting the firstPlayStation phone, namely the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play, but they seem to have some kind of fascination with weirdness involving the amputation of body parts.

The latest Sony Ericsson Xperia Play commercial, is just as weird as the first commercial, and this latest one comes our way courtesy of the guys over at Slash Gear and runs for just over a minute without so much as a sniff of the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play making an appearance.
According to the video a guy meets a woman and she spends the night and when he wakes he finds she has stolen his thumbs, cut to the Android robot gliding along and close up of it bending a thumb.

Does Sony Ericsson think we should all go out and cut the thumbs off people so we can user the PlayStation phone? I’ll leave you to hit that play button and check out the latest weirdness for theSony Ericsson Xperia Play.

How To Force Stop "not Responding" Programs In Windows Xp, Windows Vista And Windows

Unresponsive programs in Windows quoting the dreadful message "Not Responding" are a common if you are a Windows user. These programs simply don’t listen to your commands and even refuse to close. They irritatingly waste your time and stay on the screen until they close which normally takes a long time.

Sometimes these frozen programs force you to open the Task Manager, detect the appropriate process and then end the process manually from there as they do not close on their own. This can be a horrible experience especially if you a Windows Vista user. Thankfully, there is an easier way out to close these frozen programs! Here’s how you do it.

1) Right click on your Desktop and click New>Shortcut.

2) Copy the following location: taskkill.exe /f /fi “status eq not responding” on to the text box in the window that opens.

3) That’s it. You are now done! From now on, anytime some program displays "Not Responding", just clicking on the shortcut will automatically detect and terminate the unresponsive program.

How to Close All Windows Programs quickly?

A cool tip to minimize and maximize all your active windows programs. You can do all using your mouse, but if you want to do this with keyboard then simply press Windows key+M to minimize all active programs and later maximize it using Windows key+Shift+M.
If you want to minimize the all active windows programs one by one then use the shortcut by pressing Alt+Space+N keys and sequentially maximize the active windows programs using shortcut Alt+Space+X keys.

Mother Board Cleaning Tips

Motherboard is the main part of your computer that contains all hardware components. Your computer motherboard could fry, if you do not keep it clean on periodically basis. Dust is the main cause to heat up your system and heat link to hardware failure. You can save your computer maintenance cost if you clean your computer on the regular basis. This will improve the cooling and performance of the motherboard components. To clean your motherboard first unplugs your system power from the electrical outlet.Using the screwdriver remove the side covers of your computer case and put them to one side.Check all data and power cables connections. Inspect all motherboard PCI and AGP slots. Remove all add-on card of your motherboard for example RAM, modem, VGA, sound card and LAN card. Now blow the air around all the motherboard sides and keeping away your blower nozzle 4 to 5 inches away from main board components. You can use vacuum cleaner also for this purpose but compressed air is the better solution to clean a system. At the end assemble back all cards, cables and side covers of your system.I recommend you doing this after every three months if you want to save your system life.

Intel releases Core vPro business processors

When Intel released its new consumer-oriented second-generation Core (AKA "Sandy Bridge") CPUs in January, it seemed likely that the "professional" version would be just around the bend. Today Intel has introduced just that, with its new second-generation Core vPro family of processors.

Though based on the same microarchitecture as the consumer chips, and utilizing technologies such improved media handling, Advanced Vector Extensions, Quick Sync Video for energizing media manipulation, and the enhanced Turbo Boost for increasing performance when not all processing cores are being utilized, vPro processors also include a number of extras that are geared specifically towards business users.

These include a new Host-Based Configuration feature that automates the process of setting up vPro functions on new PCs. According to Intel, "thousands of computers can be configured simultaneously in a couple of minutes." Also present is a new Keyboard-Video-Mouse Remote Control feature that lets a remote technician assist a user—now in higher definitions than ever before, compensating for jobs requiring use of HD video and larger screen sizes.

For users who rely on laptops to be their system at and away from the office, Intel has introduced Anti-Theft Technology Version 3.0, which introduces three new ways to protect systems. It lets authorized IT or service technicians completely disable a lost or stolen computer and prevent access to its valuable data, and then reactivate it later, all by using an encrypted and authenticated SMS message. The new Locator Beacon function helps authorities determine the precise location of a missing laptop using GPS technology on select 3G modems. And standby protection can require an encrypted login, so that if a laptop goes missing while it's in standby, it's still guarded by an extra layer of security.

Some vPro processors will also incorporate Identity Protection Technology, which reduces phishing attacks and instances of unlawful access by generating a six-digit numerical password every 30 seconds that only the proper target knows.

Intel claims that a new Core vPro i5 CPU can speed business applications by 60 percent, multitasking by 100 percent, and data encryption by 300 percent. Among the first new processor families to take advantage of these updates is the Xeon E3-1200, which Intel is calling the first entry-level workstation platform that integrates "professional-level graphics onto the processor."

Nokia announces X1-00 low-cost music phone, expected to arrive in April

Nokia has announced its latest budget feature phone, the Nokia X1-00, which is being branded as a music phone. Not featuring the Nokia XpressMusic branding, the Series 30 based Nokia X1-00 has most of the signature features of a music phone, from dedicated music keys, a super powerful loudspeaker, storage expandability via microSD card, FM radio, 3.5 mm audio jack, microUSB connectivity for easy media transfer, to what it calls a single-key playlist creator.
The phone also has a large 1320 mAh battery, rated to deliver 61 days of standby time, and up to 38 hours of continuous music play. The only thing missing from the Nokia X1-00’s music portfolio is wide support for lossless audio formats – all it offers is MP3, WAV (CD quality is probably good enough though), WMA and eAAC+. The phone supports microSD expandability up to 16GB, and comes bundled with a 2GB card onboard, as well as a stereo-headset.
The loudspeaker is apparently rated deliver an output of 106 phon (a unit of perceived loudness), and according to Nokia, it has been calibrated so that no distortion is heard even at maximum volume. The phone also has a dedicated torch, apart from five separate phone books – meaning it is a device that Nokia envisions will be used by more than one person.
The phone is one of Nokia’s most inexpensive devices, and will be priced at less than €35 or Rs. 2,100. It will be available in ‘Orange, Ocean Blue and Dark Grey’ when it launches in select markets starting in April.
