Nokia’s patent has proposed using multilayered strips of elastomers and composite fabrics. While the first layer could possibly be made of a thermoplastic or thermoset material acting as a sturdy spring and the second layer could either be kevlar or cordura fabric. We really don’t expect to see this as an actual product any time soon but we never expected a 41MP cameraphone either !
