We know that desktops are becoming less popular, but maybe with new the iMacs and computers like this 1950s inspired Philco PC, desktops computers might become more popular again.
Everyone is getting rid of their desktops because laptops are just more convenient to use. A bunch of people are also jumping into Macs, since they are easier to use. That being said, it's always nice to have a large screen and a computer that runs fast. The new iMacs are great because they are a confluence of different technology, HDTVs and computers integrated into one streamlined form.
In an effort to make desktops PCs more beautiful and relevant,
Dave Schultze came up with a really interesting concept, the Philco PC. Schultze was inspired by the classic
Philco Predicta TVs from the fifties. We think that it just looks amazing and should most definitely be made a reality. The beautiful monitor and desktop are combined with a typewriter-like keyboard and mouse, which made us think of Steampunk.
