Apple has released its eighth update for Mac O X Snow Leopard which consists of number of bug fixes including Mac Defender Malware. This would be probably the last update before Apple releases Mac OS X Lion. OS X Lion will be released next month and you must upgrade to OS X 10.6.8 in order to get it. OS X Lion will consist of 250 new features and will be available through Mac App Store for $29.99.

According to Apple support page, this update fixes the following issues.
- Enhances the Mac App Store for the Lion OS X Upgrade
- Fixes a bug in Preview that would cause it to quit unexpectedly
- Improves support for IPv6
- Improves VPN reliability
- Identifies and removes known variations of Mac Defender
