Google to release multiple Nexus Android 5.0 Jelly Bean devices

We all wait the Thanksgiving, but this year it comes with a surprise. According to the report of the Wall Street Journal, if all the things will go according to plan, Google will open up its Nexus program to multiple OEM partners. The offer of Google will be up to five launch devices for Android 5.0. We could noticed the interest of Google for smartphones sale directly, by the action of selling the Galaxy Nexus through the Google Play store. We can speculate that Google have plans to change the entire Android landscape.

By this change we think that Google will try to satisfy manufacturers wary of favoritism of Google’s Motorola buyout and in the same time is making available a big variety of carrier unlocked devices running Android latest version to customers in Europe, the United States, and Asia.

HTC Ville C specs leaked, but no release date yet

A new leak, a new subject. We talk here about a new HTC product, which was today’s morning announced, under the name of HTC Ville C, a smartphone created in order to add a new line of production, “C”, a bigger gamma of products being a better way to make business. Thanks to Brief Mobile, the lucky one who received the tip, we could find out that HTC Ville C is quite similar to an previously model, HTC One S, but without some of the best specifications of it, that took it in the top, and made it special.

Some specs we can say for the new HTC Ville C are not so innovative, like the processor Qualcomm S3 dual-core which was used before, and equipped the last year products, or the camera of 8 MP with BSI sensor paired with the HTC ImageChip , and we can see that there is a VGA camera available for special social life. And we can find for the new HTC 4.3-inch AMOLED qHD display, 1GB of RAM, and 16 GB of internal storage, but we hope that an extension of the memory will be available. Exact dimensions remain a mystery for the new HTC, but the rumors sounds like an ultra slimPDA phone with 1,650 mAh battery.
No idea of the release date, nothing official, but the rumors say that it might be sooner than we expect.

Siri updated for new best smartphone answer

When Apple released the iPhone 4S last year one of the unique selling points of the handset was its new Siri assistant feature, but the new feature hasn’t been without its problems though as it had issues understanding some accents and many features of it don’t work outside the US. Now Siri has been updated so it gives a new best smartphone answer to users.

A few days ago we told you that when Siri was asked what is the best smartphone ever, it surprisingly replied the Nokia Lumia 900, which as AppleInsider is reporting was based on just four user reviews that had an average score of 5 out of 5. The key word in the question was ‘ever’ as asking Siri for just the “best smartphone” would return responses such as “the one you’re holding”.

Pod2g updates on release of iOS 5.1 (.x) untethered jailbreak

We’ve been following all the developments of the exploits of well-known developer and hacker pod2g and his attempts to bring an iOS 5.1 untethered jailbreak. Today we thought we’d bring you the latest update on the progress of the iOS 5.1.x jailbreak, which is becoming closer every day and should be available within the next two weeks.
Previously we learned that pod2g had managed an untethered jailbreak on an iPhone 4S running iOS 5.1 and then a few days ago we told how he had now managed an untethered jailbreak on the new iPad running iOS 5.1. Later we then heard that the untethered jailbreak had also been successfully performed on iOS 5.1.1 as well. This of course has made many potential jailbreakers hopeful of a public release of the jailbreak real soon.

So, we have new details for our LG fans, with a new device rumored before as “LG LS970″ or “G” code name, we have now the production name “Eclipse 4G LTE”, from trusted sources and real specifications about the newest product. We can understand from specifications that the main competitor will be Samsung Galaxy S3, because even if it sounds strange, LG comes up with more than we expected.
As an information point, i can ask you if you know what does the APQ8064 chipset means: 28nm 1.5 GHz Qualcomm quad-core Krait processor (Snapdragon S4 series) along with the amazing Adreno 320 GPU. And i’m sure, this is the latest new generation top, and guess what, the LG Eclipse will come with it.

iOS 5.1.1 update problems discussed

Just a few days ago Apple issued its latest iOS update, iOS 5.1.1 for users of the iPhone, iPod touch and iPad. The update was released to solve issues with various bugs that needed attention but although some people have managed to update with success it seems that some others have had problems with the software update to iOS 5.1.1 and have noticed issues since installing it.

When iOS 5.1 was issued back in March we told how plenty of people were reporting problems with obtaining the update and seeing error messages instead. Although this does not appear to be a widespread issue this time it’s certainly noticeable that some people are having problems since installing the iOS 5.1.1 update.

iOS 6 may possibly say goodbye to Google Maps

It is widely believed that Apple will give the world its first glimpse of the next version of its mobile operating system, iOS 6, at next month’s WWDC event, and it seems that iOS 6 is to possibly say goodbye to Google Maps.
There have been a number of rumours recently that Apple is working on its own in house maps solution after the purchase of a number of mapping companies, and now 9To5 Mac arereporting that sources are claiming that the company will unveil its own mapping solution as part of iOS 6 when it is finally announced.
The new Maps application is claimed to be similar to the current Google Maps offering found on iOS devices, but is claimed to be much cleaner and faster while being more reliable. Apple has always had full control of the Google Maps application, but the backend has always belonged to the search enginegiant.
This is set to change following Apple’s purchases of C3 Technologies, Ploy9, and Placebase that the company has used to build a complete mapping database. The application is now referred to as ‘Maps’ now that it is fully in-house, but Apple did extend their deal with Google ahead of the iOS 5 launch, but it now seems this deal is coming to an end.
There will be a new logo for iOS Maps, which is basically a redesigned version of the current iOS Maps icon with a view of Apple’s 1 Infinite Loop Campus, but with a new colour scheme. Apple’s version for Google Street View will also likely be an in-house solution.
Apple’s new Maps application will have a new powerful 3D mode that doesn’t come enabled by default, as users will need to click a 3D button that is visibly stored in the app. This feature pioneered by C3 will give users a new perspective on buildings and landmarks instead of a bird’s eye view, or relying on Street View that has a limited reach.
